The Verdict on the 2018 Range Rover Velar

Last spring Land Rover introduced the Velar at the Design Museum in London. The British roots of the brand hold strong as the new SUV lives up Range Rover’s origins.

The Range Rover lineup continues to grow with Velar being the 4th model type that is the perfect combination of sophistication and off-road elegance.

Dating back to original prototypes from 1969, Land Rover has been masterminding the idea for many years.

The Velar is available in three engine levels including a turbocharged 4-cylinder with 247 horsepower, a 4-cylinder diesel with 180 horsepower and a supercharged V6 with a whopping 380 horsepower. The supercharged V6 model packs fierce acceleration for a midsize SUV!

Drivers enjoy the smooth 8-speed automatic transmission that is both quick and comfortable.

Even the base model speeds up to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds. The most impressive is the V6 with a 5.3 second 0 to 60 time and a maximum speed of 155 mph.

The SUV encompasses a wide range of features helpful for offroad traction and performance such as Hill Descent, Low Traction control, Gradient Release, Traction Launch and All Terrian Progress control.

If you enjoy offroading, the adjustable suspension is included with the V6 model and does a superior job stabilizing the ride.

To accompany the standard Range Rover features, the Velar includes Land Rover’s new infotainment system that boasts two 10 inch screens. The world will be at your fingertips with a wide array of apps and technology packaged for both elegance and convenience.

Thefive-passengerr SUV is an all-around winner when it comes to luxury with sleek styling inside out. Most noteworthy is the diamond stitched leather and woodgrain trim on the interior.
